LUBUS Highlights November 2024

Block-Based Blueprint Builder

We’ve been rolling up our sleeves and diving deep into our Block Editor-powered blueprint builder. It’s all about making blueprint creation as visual and intuitive as possible, even when there are a few bumps along the way! We’ve just wrapped up the first version of the editor, and boy, does it look snazzy after some design tweaks. We’ve even submitted our initial pull request to bring it into the playground for everyone to play with. We had a fun Hallway Hangout to brainstorm our next steps, and guess what? We’re keeping the momentum going by dedicating weekly hours to keep improving this tool. Curious about our chat? We’ve got the recording ready for you to dive into!

WPUI

Over at WPUI, there’s a fresh breeze blowing in with new energy on board. For the coming months, we’re jazzing up old patterns and crafting new ones, inspired by our latest client work and side projects. We’re also sprucing up the site to sync with the latest package updates. And here’s a little secret—we’re tinkering with a cool new tool for WPUI, still in the POC stage. Fingers crossed! Got any thoughts or feedback? We’re all ears!

FilamentPHP x WordPress Experiment

Now, onto our FilamentPHP x WordPress experiment! We’re like mad scientists, blending the best of Laravel and WordPress to cook up something truly special. We’re in the brainstorming phase, putting together a proof of concept. Stay tuned—exciting things are on the horizon!

WordPress Contributor Mentorship: 2024 Q4

In the spirit of open source, we’re embracing the “Five For Future” initiative. Ajit Bohra from our team recently participated in a mentorship program, helping new contributors find their footing in the WordPress community. And we’re just getting started! We’re gearing up to involve more team members in these efforts, spreading that open-source love.

WordPress Fullsite Editing Workflow

We have been early adopters of WordPress Block Editor A.K.A Gutenberg. From contributing to experimenting and building things from its initial days. The editor has come a long way from a content editor to Full site editing, a Standalone editor to be used outside of WordPress along with a Plethora of packages. With this evolution WorkFlow to build a website with WordPress has been evolving. Classic theme to hybrid to fully Block-based. Along this journey, we have code snippets, boilerplate, tools, and a sort of WorkFlow that evolved to build a block-based site over the last couple of years. Some of our folks are working on putting all together to share case studies and resources for others to learn from. If you are an agency, business or freelance and would like to connect and discuss on this feel free to send us an email info@lubus.in
