WordCamp Pune 2025
We kicked off the month by attending the first WordCamp of the year. As active participants, we sponsored the event, delivered talks, and attended sessions. Payal and Uday from our team thoroughly enjoyed their time at the event, while Ajit and Sagar led an engaging workshop on the Block Editor and Full Site Editing.
FSE Rebuild
Last month, we migrated RollingNames‘ site to the Block Editor as part of our FSE 2025 program, aiming to fully leverage the Block Editor and transition to a 100% block-based approach. Building on this momentum, we are now collaborating with another client to plan their migration to the Block Editor. This ongoing effort allows us to further ‘dogfood’ our own tools and identify areas for improvement. The team has already pinpointed specific functionalities to develop.
WPUI
WPUI began as a simple internal project aimed at helping the team reuse common design patterns through easily copyable React components. Over time, it has evolved with every client project we’ve undertaken, and we now have major updates lined up for open sourcing. Over the past several months, we’ve collaborated with several plugin/theme houses and enterprise clients, working on custom integrations and plugins that leverage modern WordPress packages.
Throughout this process, we’ve developed a collection of new design patterns and tools. Additionally, we’ve been documenting the most common implementations to streamline future work. We’ve identified a few recurring patterns and, to accelerate development for upcoming projects, we’re creating plugin starter kits. These kits will help us kickstart projects and focus more effectively on solving core problems. Stay tuned—we plan to release them in the next quarter!
BlaBlaBlocks
And our exploration continues! BlaBlaBlocks represents our ongoing block-based adventure, designed to address the diverse needs of our client projects. Currently, we’re working on the following—with even more exciting developments in the pipeline!
Slider Block
The Slider Block has been released and open-sourced, and it currently powers several of our client websites. To further address upcoming needs for migrating to the Block Editor, we are working on adding support for dynamic data via post queries. Additionally, we are exploring the use of the WP Interactivity API to enhance its capabilities.
Tabs Block
Another exciting exploration within BlaBlaBlocks is the development of a Tabs block, designed to support our ongoing client projects. Currently, in the proof-of-concept (POC) phase, we’re exploring UI/UX designs and features, aiming to keep the implementation closely aligned with core principles.
WordCamp Asia 2025: Manila, Philippines
Another WordCamp in a row! Flagship events always carry a unique vibe and aura. This marked our team’s hat trick of attending WCAsia since its inception, and we’re proud to keep the streak alive. We had a fantastic time both attending and sponsoring the event, gaining valuable insights and exploring new ideas that we’re already putting into action. We’re also excitedly looking ahead to the next WCAsia, which will be held in our home ground—Mumbai, India. Preparations for WCAsia 2026 are already underway!
From The Watercooler
Coffee madness is now transitioning into plant parenthood! Desk corners have come alive, sparkling with a variety of plants. We’ve embraced our inner plant parents, with team members taking care of their leafy companions and nurturing them with pride.
