Revamping Our Website: A Work in Progress

One of the hardest things to do is revamp and rebuild your website. While we’ve been busy helping businesses establish their digital presence and deliver tailored solutions, our website has long been overdue for a makeover.

Both design and content updates were pending as our branding and marketing teams carefully planned the next steps. Recently, we made a strategic decision to approach the revamp incrementally, allowing us to move forward without waiting for everything to be perfect.

We began with essential fixes, then migrated to the WordPress Block Editor, introduced a new visual identity, and moved our hosting to WordPress.com.

What you see now is just the beginning. This is an ongoing, phased revamp, and our team is already working on more updates.

Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing more about our process and the thinking behind our decisions in an upcoming blog post.

BlaBlaBlocks

Our creative playground of custom Gutenberg blocks—built through experimentation and hands-on development to solve real-world needs across client and internal WordPress projects.

Tabs Block

Continuing our work on the Tab Block, last month was focused on testing and polishing its implementation. We deployed it on several client websites and internal projects that use the WordPress Block Editor and require tabbed interfaces. This real-world usage surfaced valuable enhancements and issues, which helped us further refine both the block’s functionality and its UI/UX. The current version of the Tab Block is undergoing additional quality assurance, and we’re excited to release the initial version of the plugin soon.

Stay tuned!

Slider Block

We’re happy to share version 1.1.0 of BlaBlaBlocks Slider Block, featuring simple yet powerful enhancements to make your sliders stand out. Now you can move pagination dots and arrows wherever you like inside the slides, below them, or off to the side, and easily adjust the spacing around arrows so everything looks balanced.

We have added fresh slider templates that slip into your page with no extra steps. Just pick one, drop it in, and you are done. If autoplay is enabled, it will pause automatically when you focus on the slider and resume when you move away, so you can edit or interact without distraction. Keyboard controls now work separately for each slider, so navigating won’t jump you into the wrong one. Slides per view now adjust automatically based on the total number of slides, with a built-in limit to keep everything looking neat and running smoothly.

BlaBlaBlocks Slider Block will soon be listed on WordPress.org, allowing you to install and update it directly from your dashboard. Stay tuned!

Format Library

There’s no denying that Blocks are the poster child of the WordPress Block Editor. But RichText formats are an equally powerful feature with immense potential.

WordPress core comes with its own set of formats and gives developers the flexibility to add custom ones. In today’s web landscape, where rich interaction is key, formats enable editors to do much more within RichText fields and unlocking creative possibilities without breaking the editing flow.

Based on feedback from our clients and broader web needs, we’re currently working on a RichText format library. Here’s a sneak peek of two formats currently in development:

  • 🏷️ Marker – Highlight key parts of your content for emphasis
  • 💬 InfoTip – Add helpful inline tips or annotations to your text

Stay tuned for more updates as we expand the library to empower editors with more intuitive formatting tools!

Visual BluePrint Builder

Development efforts on the Visual Blueprint Builder for the WordPress Playground were on pause for a while, but we’re back at it!

We’ve been actively documenting improvements and bug fixes, many of which are now reflected on our GitHub Projects board. Last month, we addressed compatibility issues caused by recent updates to the Block Editor and changes to the blueprint schema.

To enhance the user experience, we’ve also introduced an onboarding modal that simplifies and speeds up blueprint creation.

Currently, we’re working on a revised development roadmap to align with the recent changes in the WordPress Playground.
You can follow the progress, explore the source code, and contribute via our GitHub repository and project board.

Laravel Decomposer Release

We’re happy to announce that Laravel Decomposer has been updated to version 1.3. This release brings a fresh, easy-to-read interface built with Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js, so you will notice it loads faster and looks cleaner without relying on Bootstrap. Under the hood, the code has been refactored for better clarity and future improvements. We have also made sure it works seamlessly with the latest Laravel releases, and optimized how it calculates your application’s size so it won’t time out on larger projects.

To get started, simply run:

composer require lubusIN/laravel-decomposer

Check out the GitHub repository for full details or to contribute. We appreciate your support and hope Laravel Decomposer continues to make your Laravel projects easier to manage!

Gymie Rebuild

Years ago, we developed a Gym Management System to empower local fitness centers and clubs. As open-source enthusiasts, we released v1.0 of the system to the community. Subsequently, we embarked on building v2.0 from the ground up, incorporating commercial and proprietary code that restricted us from open-sourcing it.

In response to feedback received over the years, we decided to adopt a fresh approach to leverage modern tools and minimize licensing constraints, which had previously hindered our open-source efforts. Currently, our team is actively working on the Alpha release of v3.x.

To follow the development, check out the source code on GitHub or keep an eye on our project board. We’re also working on a more detailed release plan and upcoming updates.
If you have suggestions or ideas, we’d love to hear from you—please share them in our GitHub Discussions.
