Telex WordPress blocks exploration

Re platforming Urumi.ai

We’ve been working with Urumi.ai on an exciting re-platforming project, migrating their site from a React app to a WordPress block-powered website. This shift gives their team greater control over content publishing. It streamlines the process and lays the foundation for more impactful updates ahead. We’ve also put together a detailed case study on this project. Check it out here to learn more about the journey and results.

Telex Adventure

At WordCamp US 2025, Automattic announced Telex, and it’s been on our exploration list ever since. We started thinking about how it can fit into our workflow. We considered using it for updating some of our existing blocks. It was also considered for refining a few unreleased blocks and POCs before making them public. Telex seemed like a perfect match for these cases.

We began experimenting with it through our Color Palette Block, and the results have been really promising. Since then, we’ve been rebuilding a few more blocks with Telex. We have also been updating them. At the same time, we are exploring its potential for some new POCs.

We’re planning to publish a detailed blog soon. It will include our observations and how we’re using Telex. We will also share our thoughts on its possibilities stay tuned!

Laravel MCP (beta)

Laravel has just introduced MCP in beta, and we’re quietly keeping an eye on it. It’s an early but thoughtful step toward helping AI work with apps through clear tools and resources a direction that feels very much in line with our own explorations.

Border-Radius Presets Finally Land in WordPress 6.9

We’ve been waiting for this one for a while. With WordPress 6.9 introducing border-radius size presets, design systems finally get a consistent, theme.json-level approach to radius.

In one of our client projects, the design system had multiple pixel sizes for border radius 2px, 4px, 6px, 8px, 12px, and so on. Every time, we had to manually add these values wherever needed. There was no global way to set them, which meant a lot of repetition and room for inconsistency.

Now, with border-radius presets in WordPress 6.9, we can set them once in theme.json and reuse everywhere keeping design systems cleaner, more consistent, and much easier to manage.

More Adventures

We’re diving deeper into our open source adventures, experimenting with new ideas and building cool stuff for the community. There’s a lot in the pipeline. We have updates to existing projects and fresh POCs that we can’t wait to share. Stay tuned we’ll be sharing more insights, releases, and behind-the-scenes explorations very soon!
