Slider Block

From code for client projects to a bunch of files as our internal tool, our Slider Block has evolved significantly. As part of our growing suite of WordPress block development plugins, this slider ensures seamless integration across the site while enhancing accessibility. We’re thrilled to announce the Slider Block plugin, now available on the WordPress Plugin Repository. Create responsive sliders and carousels directly within the Block Editor, conveniently accessible from your WordPress dashboard. Install, use, and share your valuable feedback with us!

Tab Block

After perfecting our sliders and carousels, we’re now turning our attention to tabs. Our tab implementations were previously scattered across various client projects in bits and pieces. We’re now consolidating and refining them into a unified, polished solution that can be used across client sites and our own internal projects. We plan to release it soon on the WordPress Plugin Repository for easy access and discovery. Stay tuned!

BlaBlaBlocks Formats

Blocks are the poster child of the WordPress Block Editor but RichText formats for paragraphs are just as important. While blocks are powerful, they’re not always the right solution for every need. From a marketing perspective, content often requires fine-grained formatting control at the text level and that’s where custom formats shine.

Over time, we’ve built various custom formats based on specific client needs. Some of these have proven useful across multiple projects and benefit from better structure and control. To make them easily reusable, we’ve been compiling them into a Reusable Block Formats library.

We’ve got a lot of exciting formats lined up for release. To start, two of them are nearly ready. Here’s a sneak peek at Marker and Infotip.

Web Components are a powerful and fascinating part of the modern web platform. What started as an accidental exploration during a client project quickly turned into a deeper adoption. As we experimented further, Web Components naturally found their way into our WordPress block development and they fit in perfectly.

Along the way, we created several custom HTML elements and have now bundled them into an npm package. We’re excited to share it with you soon. Stay tuned!

Gymie

We’ve been making great progress on the Gymie Web App, and it’s really starting to take shape. Building on that momentum, we’re now focusing our efforts on a companion mobile app. We’ve been developing a proof-of-concept to support key actions on the go.

The app is still a work in progress and is being built using React Native and Expo. More updates coming soon!

GitHub Actions

One of our recent focus areas has been automation, and we’ve been actively exploring opportunities to leverage GitHub Actions. With much of our current work centered around WordPress blocks, plugins, and related projects, we’re automating various aspects of our development and deployment workflows.

A key goal is to enable Q/A teams to quickly test pull requests and gather feedback efficiently. WordPress Playground has been indispensable in this process. We’re integrating it to provide real-time previews for pull requests, as well as live demos for our various open-source projects.

We’re currently testing this setup internally and plan to open-source it soon.
