At Lubus, the first half of 2025 has been a journey of growth, innovation, and significant milestones. As we reflect on our vision at the beginning of the year, we set ambitious goals centered on embracing Full Site Editing (FSE) and expanding our commitment to Open-Source Projects. Today, we are proud to share how we’ve turned these aspirations into reality through dedication and steady progress.
Embracing Full Site Editing (FSE)
At the beginning of the year, we committed to leveraging the WordPress Block Editor, also known as Gutenberg, as part of our FSE 2025 initiative. Our goal is to empower clients with a web presence driven by the Block Editor and to enhance its use internally. During the first half of the year, we collaborated with several clients to transition from WPBakery Visual Composer to the WordPress Block Editor, while also migrating our websites.
Here are some key projects from this period:
- RollingNames: Client website featuring a custom Block Theme utilizing Full Site Editing for optimized performance.
- MarksmanHealthcare: Client website featuring a custom Block Theme with refined publication workflows.
- Lubus: Our official website with optimized performance and enhanced content editing workflows.
- Xenio and Gymie: Our product and open-source websites, respectively.
In the second half of the year, we are actively working with new and existing clients to further refine their publishing workflows powered by the Block Editor.

OpenSource Panda
Yes, that’s what we like to call ourselves. Open source is in our DNA — it empowers everything we do. We’re builders at heart, and in the first half of the year, we’ve been busy building and using open source software (OSS) for both client and internal projects.
Here are some of the key OSS projects we’ve created:
- Visual Blueprint Builder: A block-based WordPress playground for building and sharing blueprints.
- BlaBlaBlocks: Our experimental block collection, created to support the FSE 2025 initiative.
- Slider: A Block Editor-compatible, easy-to-use slider block plugin.
- Tabs: A user-friendly tabs block plugin built for the Block Editor.
- Formats: Custom block editor text formats for practical use cases compatible with any block.
- InfoTip: Display additional information via tooltips on highlighted text.
- Marker: Highlight text with rich static or animated markers.
- Laravel Decomposer: A Laravel package to quickly gather server and app information for support and troubleshooting.
- Gymie v3.x: the next version of our open-source gym management system.
- Filament Starter Kit: A Laravel starter kit to jumpstart Filament-based projects, following our best practices.
- WPUI: A set of ready-to-use React UI patterns powered by WordPress packages and components.
Many of these projects have already been open-sourced and continue to receive updates. And this is just the beginning, we have even more exciting projects lined up for the second half of the year.
